OMG Signs MoU with South Korea’s Second Largest Bank

According to the Omise press release, Thai Omise and OmiseGO (OMG) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ShinhanCard, a credit card and technology subsidiary of Shinhan Financial. According to the press release, the memorandum of understanding will enable Omise to further enter Southeast Asia and Japan, and “to promote the application of ShinhanCard’s digital products in its payment service and mobile application product line” by using OMG’s servers and SDK wallets. Shinhan Bank is South Korea’s second-largest bank and has previously announced the provision of banking services for digital currency exchanges.
