New 50-megawatt mine in Armenia still does not allow cryptocurrency transactions

According to Armenpress, a new 50 MW new mine will be built near the Hrazdan thermal power plant in Armenia. According to project public relations sources, the government did not provide economic support. It only passed a bill to establish a special economic zone in December last year. The mine’s investment mainly relies on private investment and it is expected to raise at least 30 million U.S. dollars annually. She said that before the government passed legislation to regulate digital currency, the mine would not involve cryptocurrency transfer and trading activities. Previously reported that the Armenian government only through the bill to define the concept of miners, set tax preferences for miners, and pre-set its registration requirements, but has not yet passed the management of the cryptocurrency bill.
