Japan’s cryptocurrency exchange engineers shortage

According to JapanToday, when digital currency exchange Coincheck Inc explained how hackers stole $530 million in digital currency, it said that part of the problem is beyond its control: Japan lacks software engineers for the blockchain. Coincheck said that it cannot employ skilled staff to fill security gaps. Experts believe that as the cryptocurrency industry in the country matures, the resulting shortage risk will weaken the competitive advantage of the Japan Exchange. This may expose the industry to more theft.
